I unfortunately needed a procedure that most men would dread. Dr Turk was extremely professional, reassured me this was routine and carried out the procedure keeping me informed throughout. Hopefully the outcome of subsequent scans will be positive.

Pleasant type, explained things well. He told me we would do an MRI scan, find the results to see if I needed a biopsy. But, I got a call to make my biopsy appointment prior to my MRIscan. That was a bit worrying. Not a complaint just informing you

Mr Turk was caring in his attitude and explained clearly the diagnosis and options. Patients are always in a state of shock. He handled the situation well. I would have liked a written statement in addition at the time. The need for a CT scan was not explained which I found worrying. I was unclear when I had to have a blood test. It seems I am on a waiting list for the Blackburn Hospital as I have received correspondence.

It was a pleasure to get an unexpectedly fast appointment at the Westmoreland Hospital on a Saturday morning. Mr Turk and I had a constructive and meaningful discussion about my problems and agreed to what seems to be an eminently sensible outcome.
